Gaming This Week At The Hobby Shop 9/5/12
Children in grades one through six are
invited to showcase their artistic talents in the Picture Perfect Pets
Children's Art Contest . To enter, simply draw, color, or paint your favorite
household pet. If you don't have any pets, you can still enter by drawing your dream household pet.
Entries need to be on one 8.5" x 11" sheet of paper and can be done with
pencils, crayons, pen/ink, pastels, charcoal, watercolors, or acrylics. All
entries must be postmarked by October 31, 2012.
Students who enter the
contest will be judged in two age categories: Grades 1-3 and Grades 4-6. A First
Place, Second Place, and Third Place winner will be named in each
category.

EW Debuts The Walking Dead Portraits and Production Shots
Teasing its latest issue — the one with four collector’s covers
featuring stars from The Walking Dead — Entertainment Weekly has unveiled new cast
portraits, behind-the-scenes photos and episode stills from the upcoming third
season of the hit AMC drama.
The portraits, which you can see below,
show Rick Grimes, Danai Gurira as Michonne, David Morrissey as the Governor and
Michael Rooker as the returning Merle Dixon. The behind-the-scenes photos, which
you can see at EW.com, are particularly interesting, as they include animated
walker transformations (among them, Michonne’s jawless, armless companions).
The new season, which debuts Oct. 14, finds
Rick and the other refugees from the Greene farm hoping to transform the West
Georgia Correctional Facility — aka the Prison — into a safe haven, only to
discover the greatest threat may not come from the zombies but rather from the
nearby town of Woodbury.

DC HeroClix: Justice League Booster
In a world where inexperienced superheroes operate under a cloud of suspicion from the public, loner vigilante Batman has stumbled upon a dark evil that threatens to destroy the earth as we know it. Now, faced with a threat far beyond anything he can handle on his own, the Dark Knight must trust an alien, a scarlet speedster, an accidental teenage hero, a space cop, an Amazon Princess, and an undersea monarch.
